The open cluster NGC 7380, containing over 100 members, is surrounded by a marvel of nebulosity. Starforming is still going on as infrared observations showed numerous stars still in infant state. The clusters real diameter is about 2000 lightyears and the distance from earth is estimated to be 10'000 lightyears.
This narrowband image uses the Hubble-Palette, mapping SII to red, Ha to green and OIII to blue.
